Fashion Color/Transformative Service After Care

Yay! You’ve got a brand new style and we want to make sure your color stays as long as possible. The following are tips to keep your new locks looking fresh!

Fashion Color: Fashion color is temporary-- We recommend coming back in for a color service to refresh the shade.

New Blondes: Glazes expire 6 weeks after your service. With heavy lightening services your hair is left in a more sensitized state and color will expire more quickly, making infrequent washing ideal to keep your color locked in.

  • We recommend booking a follow up deep conditioning with your next glaze to keep your hair healthy, shiney and color locked.

Every time you wash your hair, the color will fade, virgin hair included. We recommend:

  • Wash your hair 1-2x per week, with cold water and a color preserving shampoo:

  • K-18, Olaplex, Oribe, and most EVO (all are available in the salon, DoorDash, or on our website!) as certified color safe brands.

  • Dry Shampoo will help you extend your style in-between wash days.

  • Co-wash will help you gently cleans your hair in-between shampoo days.

Avoid too much heat styling - DO NOT use heat tools set hotter than 360 degrees

Wear a hat while in the sun. Just like your skin, the UV rays can damage hair and make the color fade faster than usual.

Sea salt, like that in the ocean, will also cause the color to fade or fall out. Ask your stylist for sodium and sulfate free  shampoos.

If something doesn’t seem right, give us a call! We offer complimentary Redo Appointments within 14 days of your appointment and would love the chance to address any concerns with your transformative service.

Keratin After Care

Yay! You’ve got shiny, silky new locks and we want to make sure it lasts you as long as possible. The following are tips to keep your Keratin looking fresh:

Wait the recommended amount of time based on the service you received to wash or wet your hair:

  • Express Keratin: At least 8 Hours (24 is recommended)

  • KCMAX Treatment: No wait time, however at least 24 hours is recommended

  • Personalize Blowout: No wait time, however at least 24 hours is recommended

  • Natural Keratin Smoothing Treatment: At least 72 hours

Avoid using bobby-pins or hair ties in your hair until you are able to wash your hair. These can cause creases or kinks in the hair.

  • Try not to tuck your hair behind your ears until the first wash.

  • We recommended avoiding braiding or wearing your hair up for extended periods of time within the first 2 weeks

Excessive sun, water or excessive sweat in the hair will remove the keratin faster. In order to keep your keratin treatment as long as possible, we recommend planning a beach trip or heavy gym days before you are due for another treatment.

Wash your hair as infrequently as possible, with a smoothing, sulfate free shampoo and conditioner:

  • We recommend Oribe Brilliance and Shine (all are available in the salon or on our website!) as certified smoothing brands.

  • Dry Shampoo will help you extend your style in-between wash days.

Use the KCMAX Daily Spray to help extend the length of your keratin and protect your hair when heat styling. Avoid heavy oils like coconut or shea butter or putting too many products in your hair. The joy of the keratin treatment is that it makes your hair easier to style!

Schedule any color services at least 3 weeks after your keratin treatment. Any lightening services (highlights or balayage) will remove the keratin from the hair and should be done 3 weeks before your keratin treatment.

If something doesn’t seem right, give us a call! We offer complimentary “redo” appointments within 14 days of your appointment and want to help you address any concerns.
